Water Main Breaks in Eldersburg |
The Bureau of Utilities temporarily shut down water service to eight homes today to repair a 4-inch water main break. Between 8 and 10 a.m., homes along Balsam Lane off Piney Ridge Drive in Eldersburg were without water. A repair crew is on site. County crews are applying salt to the roadway, as the water froze on the street’s surface. Water lines have been flushed in the immediate area. As a result, residents may experience cloudiness or dirt in their water lines. Faucets should be opened and allowed to run until water appears clear again. It is a good idea to delay laundry for a day after lines are flushed. Carroll County’s Bureau of Utilities thanks residents for their cooperation during this emergency.
